Denon AVC-X8500H: The New AV-Receiver with HDMI 2.1 Arriving February

Just before the end of the year, Denon has another surprise for home cinema fans: The new top-of-the-line Denon AVC-X8500H is expected to be released in January 2018 and will also be upgradeable to the recently finalized HDMI 2.1 standard via a firmware update. We want to briefly summarize what is currently available for information.

Using Contrast Projection Screens

Screens are not only an essential part of the home cinema look but contribute significantly to the enthralling nature of the film experience. An ideal image quality is ensured especially when the room is black, otherwise, the light is reflected by the walls. If it is a bright room, the colours may look pale and the contrast of the projection may suffer. To counteract this, more and more contrast screens (including high gain screens) are being used.
