Christopher von Deylen (SCHILLER) is inspired by monumental film music and creates his own majestic orchestral sound on ‘EPIC’. He combines his characteristic, atmospheric soundscapes with impressive orchestral arrangements to create a stirring soundtrack for the cinema of the mind. For the recordings, SCHILLER worked with a 40-piece symphonic orchestra at the renowned Synchron Stage in Vienna, where greats such as Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard have also produced. ‘Working with forty creative minds was an overwhelming experience,’ summarises SCHILLER. ‘Even though there are excellent sound libraries these days, real instruments are fortunately irreplaceable. The palpable, powerful energy is unrivalled. Being in a big room full of creative energy is incredibly inspiring. With ‘Epic’, I try to capture this atmosphere and transfer it to the listener.’ Listeners can expect twelve impressive tracks on ‘EPIC’, in which the unmistakable SCHILLER sound merges with elements of fantasy and fiction. Each track tells a self-contained musical story that is guaranteed to give you goosebumps.
