In addition to the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray compatibility, the UDP800 can upscale low resolution video sources up to 4K UHD resolution 50/60Hz (3840 x 2160) which is four times the resolution of Full HD 1080p, improving picture quality for the best home video experience possible.

High Fidelity Lossless Music
The UDP800 can decode DSD64/128, DSD64 multichannel and 192kHz/24bit formats with support for AIFF, ALAC, APE, FLAC and WAV audio files. The Magnetar UDP800 universal player supports most standard disc and media formats, such as 4K UHD-BD, BD, BD-R, BD-RE, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, DVD-Video, DVD-Audio, SACD, CD, and CD-R/RW. In addition, USB external hard drives up to 16TB are supported, with direct access from your computer or NAS via your local network using DLNA, SMB or NFS protocols supporting a wide range of media formats including MKV, AVI, MP4, M2TS, WAV, FLAC, APE, MP3, DSD, etc., users can easily play and manage media files in local and LAN storage devices.

Customized High-Power transformer
MAGNETAR engineers specially selected a custom 60W high-power low noise transformer for the UDP800, with a two-stage filter design along with Japanese Rubycon electrolytic capacitors to meet the high transient response required by surround sound systems and high-resolution audio. A separate metal case lowers noise level, providing stability and silence, further improving audio and video quality.

Premium Digital Analog Converter
For Pure Audio playback, UDP800 specifically adopts a 4-layer PCB circuit board where each channel is designed with independent wiring. Two independent Burr-Brown PCM 1795 DAC processors are used for two-channel D/A decoding, processing left channel and right channel respectively. And high-quality MUSES8920 OP-AMP for audiophile sound quality. UDP800 comes with stereo XLR gold-plated balanced terminals and stereo RCA gold-plated unbalanced outputs. Pure audio mode function is available to bring uncompromised sound quality to audio lovers.

Elegant and Solid quality in Chassis Construction
The MAGNETAR engineering team understands that to achieve exceptional audio and video performance requires high quality chassis construction and stability. UDP800 adopts a solid high rigidity metal body and a reinforced double layer chassis structure. The internal main components are independently shielded by metal casing, greatly reducing vibration, noise and external magnetic field interference, bringing pure and high-resolution audio and video quality.

Code & Region Free as an Option:
The Magnetar players are available "Code & Region Free" on request. This means that you can watch all DVDs and Blurays worldwide. Normally, DVDs and Blurays can only be played on the respective continent. If you have films from Asia and the USA, the extra charge of €100 for the conversion could be worthwhile.
